Avondale Business Directory
The newly launched website features a business directory. Our goal is to get full coverage, every Avondale business, listed and represented in the directory.
First Coordinated Campaign
"Made, Served, and Sold in Avondale" Create a neighborhood-wide marketing identity that can encompass retail, food, professional services, entertainment, manufacturing, and creative production. Possible elements: • Window decals • Printed neighborhood maps • Social-media features • Business-owner profiles • Suggested itineraries • Holiday gift guide • Dining guide • Industrial and maker-business features • Collaborative products
Monthly Business Roundtable
A working meeting for owners, not a mixer, focused on identifying common challenges and solving problems. Each meeting will include: • One operational topic • One member concern • One city or technical resource • One opportunity for member collaboration • A written action list
Neighborhood Local Purchasing Network
A member-to-member procurement directory for services such as: • Accounting • Legal • Florals • Printing • Photography • Catering • Cleaning • Repair • Design • Technology • Security • Insurance • Staffing • Event services
Commercial Corridor Issue Tracker
A documented list of concerns, responsible agencies, actions taken, and outcomes. Issues might include: • Broken streetlights • Graffiti • Illegal dumping • Damaged sidewalks • Missing signs • Loading-zone needs • Construction impacts • Repeated sanitation issues • Dangerous intersections • Vacant properties
Imagine Two Avondale-Specific Festivals
Established neighborhoods have yearly events that bring new folks into the neighborhood. For example: Lincoln Square has Apple Fest, West Loop has Taste of Randolph, West Town has Do Division... etc. Our goal is to create two events with real appeal and real draw, held in different parts of the neighborhood, that both feel spiritually Avondale.
